Congratulations and best wishes to the bride and groom

Two of my schoolmates just got married last Saturday. The first wedding that Ive gone to of which the newlyweds are my friends. Wow, how quickly time flies eh. From now on Im going to be attending weddings then baby showers. Eek!

But lets not get ahead of ourselves shall we. It was really nice to see all my friends from high school again whom Ive not seen since graduation. Suprisingly they all loooked like they havent aged a bit. I know its only been 4 years, but why am I the only one among the girls who have put on weight? Sooo have to slim down before the next wedding. Which brings me to the question, whos next?!

Pete Sampras still has it!
4:17 AM

So I went to catch the match between Pete Sampras and Roger Federer in Shah Alam in the so called "Clash of times" - which sounds more like a fashion disaster than a showdown between two legends, I feel. It was an awesome match. Pete held his court so to speak, losing only in tiebreaks. Well, you have to watch it to believe it. I was awe-gasmed the whole time over his aces and running forehands. Got my brother embarrased for screaming "marry me Pete" at one point. Hee. Good times.

The eagle has landed
Wednesday, November 21, 2007
1:34 AM

This particular eagle has landed (in Malaysia) for almost two weeks now. Its great how you can come back after leaving for 8 months and nothing seems to change. How fast you can fall back into your old routine. Even if the routine consists of nothing but food and tv. Thats why its so great.

It goes without saying that I was missing the 3 F's: family, friends, food. But Ive also noticed more things since the last time Ive been back. How I like cooking with the gas stove, reading the newspapers for one hour everyday, how cheap it is to text, eating proper meals at dining tables, sleeping to the sound of fifa 08 (they have really good songs on there). You know, small, small things that you didnt even know you missed until you got it back.

Since Ive been back, Ive also finished reading 3 new books I bought from borders last week and reread one of the shopaholic and harry potter series each. Its just been pretty eventless up here in Kulim. But its all good because I havent been able to read that much in the last semester. Gotta catch up with the average word count per year quota. Reading blogs dont count yall. ;)

The last time I went out I bought a jigsaw puzzle, thought something else to do to fill my time. But as it turned out, it only filled a day. I know I should have bought the ones that have more than a thousand pieces. But I was thinking I would have given up if it takes too long to finish anyway, like I gave up crochet, playing the organ, even basketball.

Thinking of framing this for my brother's birthday who plays bball now.

To recap, all Ive been doing as of now is eat, sleep, read, watch tv and do jigsaws. I think Ive said in earlier entries that I was looking forward to doing nothing this holiday. This pretty much sums up my "nothing". Heaven! :)

I secretly want to be a reality TV star
Friday, November 9, 2007
2:15 AM

Daddy says "Its better to put a serious front and let people wonder of our sincerity than to be all smiles and friendly but have a busuk hati and fake".

I can always count on him for sage wisdom and advice. I go to Mom whenever I feel like crying. She gives the best encouragement. While Chor is my voice of reason. Always rational, giving two sides to every story. Sometimes you dont want to hear what she has to say coz its almost always true. Boy is the one I run to if I want somebody on my side, he is someone I bitch with. And I can always count on Abang Adik to just listen and not judge.

If I ever chose to become a celebrity, I wouldnt need to hire strangers. I have an amazing support system in my family already. (Jessica Simpson much?)

12 more hours! Cant wait to see their faces when I give them each of their pressies. I LOVE playing Santa Claus. :)

T-minus 96 hours

My cupboard just puked all kinds off colourful fabrics in the likes of jumpers, tshirts, blouses, clothes I dont even remember I own. My table is filled with old notes and papers that you can barely see the edges. Imagine all that and times three. Thats how messy my room currently is. Seriously how can one accumulate so much junk over the course of two years is beyond me. A few hours ago I didnt know where to start with my packing - stuff to keep in storage, stuff to bring back. So I took out everything in my closet and drawers in hope that with the things right in front of me, I would get a clue. Not a smart move I must say. Because I still dont know where to start and now I have nowhere to sit. Shit. I hate packing. HATE. I love the going away part, but its the process to get there that makes me want to bury my head in a pillow and scream. Packing is surely on top of the list of things Ruzaireen is incapable of, among other things. I always end up bringing extras, keeping stuff that I dont need. Im sentimental that way. Or indecisive. Take your pick. Sigh, why o why cant I afford a professional packer? Oh thats right I already spent all my money on these junk that are lying all over the floor. Gah! Assets my ass. What was I thinking?

Justin Timberlake got me LOVEstoned!
Saturday, November 3, 2007
12:20 PM

So I actually went to catch Justin Timberlake in Sydney and it was so unbelievably, freaking AWESOME!!! I have no words to describe the experience except that I was really, REALLY close to him. He was less than a meter away from me. The most was 5 meters. I even looked into his eyes at one point. Kid not! Gugugaga. For a more detailed description of the stage and everything, click here. Im only putting pictures and video here coz Im still at a lost for words over the whole experience. If you can see me now, Im still grinning like a fool. :D

Full house

The wristband that allowed us to be on the 'red carpet'. Cool kan?

Ini tak zoom ok. He was really THAT close!

I couldnt take much video coz we werent allowed to and the guard was right in front of me. But I curi-curi gak sket. Heres one of the best vids. Sheera, watch out for the intense gaze/glare at the 48th seconds. Triple, quadruple, multiple orgasm plis! :)

Best gila mati ok. BEST GILA MATI!!! The only sad thing was I didnt get to touch his hand but the girl next to me did. But I did high five two of the dancers and we took picture with his guitarist/Puff Daddy lookalike:

The guitarist if you dont believe me, with JT in the background.

Aftershow. Our sexy backs!

The whole time it felt like I was in a dream. Some people dont get my obsession with Justin. Even now I can see Faliq tengah tutup muka sambil menggeleng kepala while reading this. Senyap la Faliq. hahaha. But anyone who still like the same thing they did 10 years ago would understand what it feels like to be in my place. Its not just that I get to see him, but his overall performance, the dance moves, the atmosphere, the voice was really awesome!! I cant justify the show enough because you really have to be there to feel the greatness of it all. With that I would like to thank Sheera for coming along and sharing the experience with me. It would indeed be the night I would never, ever forget. Everrrr. It was bloody WORTH IT y'all!

Dork in distress

If I could be anything, I think I'd be a pretty stealthy ninja. Pretty and stealthy. I'd rob Giapo, Kapiti and Movenpick, Wendy's and Baskin Robbins. Maybe New Zealand Natural. I'd steal ice cream and hugs. And attention. Because that's how I roll.

You think you know me, but think harder. *KEBABOOM disapparate into dust mysteriously*

Oh I occasionally speak Harry Potter.-.-
